Miami Heat Trade Rumors: Glen Davis, Andrew Bogut or Brandon Rush Options Before Trading Deadline For Joel Anthony?

The Miami heat have once again been one of the best teams in the NBA this season and while they are looking primed for another championship run, the team has some holes to fill and even though they don't usually play around in the trade deadline game, this season could be different with Dwyane Wade being banged up and names like Glen Davis, Andrew Bogut or Brandon Rush could be potential targets.

Miami won their game over the Lakers on Christmas in easy fashion and with the team pushing into the 2014 part of the schedule, there still are a huge chunk of games to come and that is why the Heat could be players for a trade. Dwyane Wade has been solid while he has been on the court, but at one point Wade had missed a number of games and he also is not playing in the second of back to back games with the Heat either.  Wade missed time last season with knee issues and he also had problems in the playoffs and that is the main reason why the team is looking to add depth at all.

Rush is an interesting option, as he is barely playing at all in Utah and is averaging just 12.6 minutes per game this season and that makes him a potential target. Miami really only has Joel Anthony to move and that would be their best chip for any of the players they try to trade for. The Bogut deal is not realistic, as he just signed a three year extension with the Warriors, but the main reason it's here is due to a report from earlier in the summer that linked the two teams in a move and doesn't it feel like it would fit perfectly? Bogut was shaping up to be one pf the main free agent targets next summer, but obviously now he is off the market.

Wade has been solid while he is in the lineup and if he gets injured, that could mean trouble for the Heat, as they have been using James Jones and Roger Mason Jr. in his place and those are major downgrades. While Rush wouldn't be an amazing option compared to those players, it would be a nice boost for the team to have some more depth and heading into the playoffs they will need as much as they can get.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, another option could be Glen Davis on the Orlando Magic, as he is being shopped along with Jameer Nelson this season. The Indiana Pacers have plenty of size and they have depth down low and they are the top team to challenge the Heat this season. Davis could add another big player for Miami with a deal and Anthony may be an option to get moved to the Magic.
