The Lakers have been dealing with injuries to Bryant as well as Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar and now they match up against one of the best offensive teams in the NBA. The Lakers defense has not been very solid and they come in ranking 15th in the league in scoring with 100 points per game and the team is also ranked in the top 10 in assists and they are averaging over 40 rebounds per game. The Lakers have Pau Gasol scoring a nice amount after last season's tough numbers and he is leading the team in rebounding and the team also has taken him off of the trading block as the deadline approaches. The Lakers have plenty of solid talent, but with so many players out they will need to hold tight to make the playoffs in the west.

The Warriors are just ahead of the Lakers in the Pacific division standings and the team is ranked in the top 10 in scoring with 103 points per game and they are also ranked sixth in the nation in rebounds per game. The Warriors are allowing over 100 points per game and the matchup on Saturday could be an offensive game and the Warriors play against the Denver Nuggets next on Monday at the Pepsi Center on the road and then the team will play on Christmas in one of the later games against the LA Clippers.
