The Boston Celtics were left for dead by the media and the NBA after losing Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in the offseason, but the team is not playing all that bad compared to their division rival in the Knicks and now the team will play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night at TD Garden and Rivers will return to the city for the first time since leaving.

Rivers won a championship in Boston and now he is trying to bring one to Los Angeles and the team comes into the game after a win over the Sixers and they will continue their reunion tour on Thursday, as the team will play against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. These two games will be intense, but the Clippers should be able to take down both teams, as the Nets are struggling along with the Knicks in the Atlantic this season and it will be interesting to see how Garnett and Pierce play against Rivers. The team had a nice win against the Sixers that saw Blake Griffin score 26 points, while DeAndre Jordan had 21 rebounds and Chris Paul led the way with 13 assists on Monday night.

The Clippers come into the game ranked fifth in the league with 104 points per game scored and they are ranked 13th in scoring on defense, allowing just under 100 points per contest this season. The Celtics comes into the game with 10 wins on the season and they are currently at the top part of the Atlantic division and that is somewhere no one expected the team to be. The Clippers have 14 wins on the season and they are ranked third in assists per game and 14th in rebounds per game and while the fans in Boston may boo Rivers on Wednesday, he deserves cheers for bringing the team a title and the Celts will next play the Knicks, a team they beat by over 30 on the road a couple days ago and now they host the team at the TD Garden.

The celtics comes into the game after a loss to the Brooklyn Nets that saw Avery Bradley score 22 points and they come into the game playing some great defense and they are scoring just over 95 points per game. The team is ranked seventh in points scored and are are 29th in assists and 23rd in rebounder per game and the team has been playing way above expectations. The game on Wednesday night starts up at 7:30 from TD Garden.
