The Seattle Seahawks have been the best team in the NFL this season after many predicted they would make a run to the Super Bowl and now they have the chance to put a stranglehold on the NFC and the number one seed on Sunday as they travel to play the San Francisco 49ers in Candlestick Park after beating them at home this season and the game starts up on FOX at 4:25 PM et.

The Seahawks are coming off of a dominating win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday night football and that saw Russell Wilson go over 300 yards in the game and the matchup against the 49ers comes after the Seahawks dominated them at home 29-3 in Week 2 and now the Niners will try and return the favor. Both teams are in position to make the playoffs with the Hawks coming in as division winners and the number one seed, while the 49ers are in a wild card spot and they have a nice lead in that over other teams. The Seahawks will play on the road here and against the Giants next and they could get things locked up soon and they will try and stop the 49ers from getting a division win and they bring in the best pass defense against one of the worst pass offenses in the league.

The Seahawks come in after shutting down Drew Brees and the Saints at home and now they bring in a defense that is averaging under 200 passing yards allowed per game and just 100 rushing yards and the offense has been excellent as well, rushing for over 140 yards per game. The team has not lost since playing against the Colts in Week 6 and the team has won seven games in a row and after playing the Niners and the Giants the team will finish against the Arizona Cardinals and the the St.Louis Rams at home and Russell Wilson still hasn't lost at home and if the team can lock up home field advantage at CenturyLink Field for the playoffs they will continue to be the Super Bowl favorite.

The Seahawks have been very impressive this season and are the top team in the NFC and with a win over the 49ers they have a clear shot at home field and beating the Saints is massive, as they could be the number two team in the playoffs. The Seahawks started off the season with a win over the Panthers and that could come into play as well depending on how they finish the season, as the Saints have two games against Carolina to finish things and that could make the last stretch of the season very interesting. The 49ers and Seahawks start on Fox at 4:25 pm.
