The Ohio State Buckeyes losing to Michigan State likely opens up a national title matchup prediction of Florida State and Auburn in the BCS 2014 title game and now projections for the Orange, Sugar, Fiesta and Rose Bowl games will start to shake out with teams like Alabama, the Buckeyes, Clemson, Michigan State, Stanford as well as Oregon, UCF and Oklahoma.
The Fiesta Bowl has Baylor and UCF possibly, while the Orange Bowl could get Ohio State and one of the other top teams and the Rose Bowl is all set, with Stanford winning the Pac-12 conference championship and they will match up against Michigan State after they defeated OSU and their defense was excellent and now two defensive teams in the Rose Bowl will matchup and that stadium will be the site of the national championship in Pasadena. Auburn is now the miracle team in 2013 after defeating Georgia and Alabama in crazy fashion and now they are likely headed to the national championship behind the play of Nick Marshall and Tre Mason and now they will face off against Jameis Winston, the likely Heisman winner.
Mason had an amazing game against Missouri in the SEC championship, rushing for 304 yards and four touchdowns on 46 carries and he had 283 yards in the first half and was very impressive. Auburn now could be the eighth championship in a row for the SEC and once again the BCS managed to sort things out despite the fact that many feel the system is flawed and one could argue that this season it worked out right, as it is most likely that Florida State and Auburn now will be playing for the national championship. Auburn now will go for another championship a year after not winning a single SEC game and now they are conference champions and Florida State will have their hands full with a rushing team like Auburn, as they go harder than anyone else in the nation.
Winston and Mason will be the key players in the national championship and Michigan State pulled off an amazing upset over Ohio State and the defense played very well and now the Auburn defense will be a major focus, as they have given up a ton of yards and are going up against a high powered Florida State passing game and a defense that is ranked at the top of the nation in points allowed per game. The Buckeyes had won 24 games in a row and finally lost against the toughest team they faced this season and it may add some weight to all those people that said their schedule was not as tough as other teams and once again the BCS managed to work itself out and with the playoffs coming next year. Baylor is in a BCS game after winning the Big 12 and now Michigan State and Stanford will be going to the Rose Bowl out of the Big Ten and the Pac-12.
