Nov 23, 2013 07:34 PM EST

The Baylor Bears are one of the best teams in the nation this season and their undefeated record will be on the line on Saturday night as they take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in an ABC Big 12 college football game that will be live on TV at 8:00 pm at Boone Pickens Stadium and streaming online and is one of the biggest tests for the Bears this season and they come in ranked in the top five in the BCS.

Baylor is by far the top offensive team in the nation and their undefeated record has quarterback Bryce Petty in the running for the Heisman race and they need a win on Saturday to stay in the top spot, as they are behind Alabama and Florida State in the standings as well as Ohio State and they still have two games on the schedule. Baylor pulled out a nice win over Texas Tech on Saturday last week and put up over 60 points yet again and now they will face their toughest opponent since playing number 10 ranked Oklahoma two weeks ago and now the team has three games left to finish undefeated and they are currently 9-0 on the season and 6-0 within the Big 12 conference. The team is ranked in the top 10 in all the important categories, including in rushing yards, scoring and passing yards per game and the defense has been coming through as well, ranking seventh in the nation with 20 points allowed per contest. The team comes in having scored over 40 points in every game but one this season and now the Cowboys have to contend with that.

Baylor comes in scoring over 60 points per game and they have scored 70 points four times this season and now the offense should be able to put up points again, but with the game on the road the Bears will be playing in a very tough environment. The team is averaging nearly 700 yards per game this season and that has been staggering and they are averaging over 300 yards rushing per game and over 380 yards passing and the team plays its next two games on the road after having a neutral matchup with the Red Raiders. The team plays against Ok State and TCU on the road and the final game could end up being for the conference, as they host Texas in a huge game and that likely will be for the title.

Baylor is in good position to get into a big BCS game and if anyone slips up ahead of them, they will be ready to slide in, as they could possibly get ahead of Ohio State because of the schedules of both conferences. Petty comes in with nearly 3,000 passing yards this season and 24 touchdowns and he has been one of the best players in the nation and Lache Seastrunk has done a great job as well, rushing for nearly 900 yards and 11 scores this season and the offense will likely be what powers Baylor to a win if they can get a victory on Saturday night.

The Big 12 conference has Baylor up top with a 6-0 record and with Oklahoma State and Texas right behind at 6-1, the team holds control of its own destiny and they can win the Big 12 outright if they finish the schedule undefeated. Petty has not tossed a pick in five games and he only has one on the season compared to 24 touchdowns and he also is completing over 64 percent of his passes this year. Petty has multiple touchdowns in every game this season and he has tossed at least three in all but a handful of games, including the last three matchups. The game starts up at 8:00 PM on ABC and is one of the biggest games of the season.
