The Atlanta Falcons have not had the season they wanted after getting into the NFC championship game last season and now they will face the New Orleans Saints at the Georgia Dome with a 2-8 record as they try to save at least part of the season and the game will get started up at 8:25 PM and will be streaming online from the NFL.com league website.

The Falcons have dealt with a ton of injuries this season and while that isn't the only reason they have lost so many games, it has played a big part and is one reason why Matt Ryan has not been as efficient as he has in the past. Roddy White has been banged up all season and with Julio Jones out for the year with an injury, Ryan has been relying on Tony Gonzalez as well as Harry Douglas and the rushing attack has not been very strong either. The team signed Steven Jackson to shore up the rushing game, but he was injured for most of the year and players like Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling have been solid but not stellar. The Falcons come into the game after losing to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they next play against the Buffalo Bills on the road after playing New Orleans.

The Saints come into the game as one of the most consistent offensive teams in the league and they have also played better on defense than in recent years after adding Rob Ryan as coordinator, as they are ranked in the top five in passing yards allowed per game. The secondary will come in handy on Thursday night, as players like Douglas and Gonzalez will try to take advantage and they will be the primary names to stop for Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Despite their record, Saints quarterback Drew Brees said that the Falcons are not a team to sneeze at and that the team will be looking to play hard and win the game to keep pace in the NFC. The Saints have a tough schedule coming up, as they play the Carolina Panthers twice in three weeks coming up soon and with the way Cam Newton is playing, the NFC South is anything but sewn up at this point in the season.

Brees is having another fantastic season and it's amazing the numbers he is able to put up in the offense and one reason he has been so productive is due to the play of Jimmy Graham, who once again has put up video game like numbers himself. The Saints have to re-sign Graham as he will be a free agent and they are likely to do their best to keep him, as he might be an even better player than Rob Gronkowski is and for tight ends that is saying a lot. Brees has been doing this for a while of course, but this season he has been particularly impressive, as he has dealt with injuries to some players and still is completing nearly 70 percent of his passes, something that is unheard of for quarterbacks in the NFL.

Brees passed for 305 yards in the win over the 49ers last week and he has seven touchdowns and just three interceptions over the past three games and during this three wins in four weeks span, he has passed for at least 300 yards in each game. This season he is on pace to go over 5,000 yards again and he should be over 40 touchdowns as well if he keeps this up. Graham has been just as good, putting up wide receiver numbers with 60 catches for nearly 850 yards and he comes in having scored four times in his past four games, including two in the loss to the Jets. Last week he had just six catches, but he had 12 targets and should be the top option again on Thursday.
