The Monday Night Football matchup for Week 8 of the NFL season is here and the ESPN game will be the Seattle Seahawks visiting the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome and kickoff will be going down at 8:30 pm and will be right down the road from the Cardinals and the Red Sox playing World Series Game 5 at Busch Stadium, making STL the center of the sports world.

The Rams are coming into the game reeling after losing Sam Bradford for the year and now a season that looked like it could be promising after starting 3-3 now could be a disaster and the Seahawks are coming in at the perfect time. Jeff Fisher and his Rams were no slouch in the division after not losing to the 49ers last season and now the Seahawks luckily will face off against the rams twice this season without Bradford and that makes things much easier for Seattle as they try and win the division over the Niners. Russell Wilson now comes in as the top quarterback in the game and the Rams are planning to start Kellen Clemens and with no real rushing game to speak of, it should be a tough contest for the Rams to win and this likely means the Seahawks will improve to 7-1 on the season.

The Seahawks opened the season with four straight wins and two of those in the middle were dominating at home against the Niners and the Jaguars, two teams that could not be more opposite but suffered the same result at the hands of the Hawks: a blowout loss on the road and a win for the team at home at CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks play very well at home and in those two games the team scored over 60 points and only allowed 20 and over their first two games they only allowed 10 points to the Panthers and Niners, something that looks pretty good when looking back now.

Wilson has been very solid for the Seahawks this season and he ranks second on the team in rushing behind power back Marshawn Lynch. The schedule for the team does not let up at any point apart from a handful of games and they next will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home before heading to play the Atlanta Falcons in what is a playoffs rematch from last season and that game could be one of the best regular season contests on the schedule, especially with it coming once again at the Georgia Dome. The game against the Falcons is a bit disappointing for Atlanta, as they were 13-3 last season and now they may not even make the playoffs and this time the Seahawks are likely to be the favorite.

Pete Carroll has done an amazing job in Seattle with this team and now they will get the chance to improve to 7-1 on the season and after heading into their bye week after playing the Minnesota Vikings they have the toughest stretch of the year. The team comes out for their second Monday night matchup of the season and it's against the New Orleans Saints and that is a past and possible future playoffs preview, while they will also go on the road against the San Francisco 49ers before an east coast trip to the New York Giants. The team plays the Cardinals and then the Rams to end the season and they pay against St. Louis on Monday night football in Week 8 on October 28 starting up at 8:30 pm with kickoff on ESPN.
