NBA Season Opener 2013 Schedule: Games Start Date Friday As Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Warriors On TV

Oct 28, 2013 03:05 PM EDT

The NBA season is finally here and on Tuesday the first games of the season will be going down on Tuesday with a number of excitiing games, including the Chicago Bulls playing the Miami Heat on TNT and later the Los Angeles Lakers playing the LA Clippers after the Indiana Pacers take on the Magic at home and on Wednesday the Heat, Knicks, Lakers and Warriors will be in action.

The opening night of the season features the Miami Heat getting their championship rings before playing the Chicago Bulls and the matchup could be a potential battle later in the playoffs. The Bulls are getting excited about getting Derrick Rose back, while Miami is excited to have Greg Oden in the fold and the team is hoping to make a fourth run to the finals to get a third straight championship. The East is fairly week apart from the top with Miami and Chicago best and the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets behind, while the west should be very strong.

LeBron James will once again be the favorite for the MVP and the Clippers and Lakers should have themselves a nice battle all season for who is the best in Los Angeles. Rose has looked explosive since coming back from his knee injury that kept him out all last season and now he comes in with a Chicago Bulls team that won 45 games without him and a playoff series. The team beat Miami in one game before losing the next four and now the Bulls have the chance to try and knock Miami off in the east, something no one has been able to do for multiple years now. The Bulls added Mike Dunleavy to help get their long range shooting in order and adding him to a mix with Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah, Kirk Hinrich and Jimmy Butler could be a winning formula for the Bulls.

James and company knows that everyone will be out to get them and in the west things should be very tight, as the Lakers and Clippers have to worry about the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder as well as the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors and there are also some other very impressive teams in the west. The first night will have just the three games, with the Indiana Pacers hosting the Orland Magic at 7 pm, while the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls will be playing at 8 pm on TNT before the Clippers and Lakers face off.

The following night on Wednesday has everyone else playing and some of those teams, including the Miami Heat taking on the Sixers and some of the other games includes the Pacers playing the Pelicans, while the Brooklyn Nets will open the season away from the Barclays Center with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks open the Garden against the Bucks and then the Lakers play the Warriors, while OKC will play the Jazz and the Hawks and Mavericks will face off.
