Orlando Magic vs. Houston Rockets Live Stream: Watch Online NBA Preseason Game Streaming From NBA TV at 8:00 PM

Oct 16, 2013 07:39 PM EDT

The Houston Rockets are coming into the start of the 2013-14 season with super high expectations after signing Dwight Howard as a free agent and after taking an international tour with Jeremy Lin, the team is back home and ready to face off against the Orlando Magic, Howard's former team, as they visit the Toyota Center for an NBA TV preseason game at 8:00 PM.

Howard left the Magic after a long and dramatic time period that eventually saw him traded to the Lakers and now the team has mostly moved on, including the fact that Tobias Harris is now wearing his number 12 jersey from while he was there. Howard said he was upset by it and honestly, if he's so upset, maybe he should have never left in the first place. Making Howard look even more terrible and selfish than he already is, Harris is wearing the number 12 as "a tribute to a close friend who died from leukemia as a teenager" according to the Orlando Sentinel, so nice job Dwight.

Howard left the Magic hanging for quite some time and now he is gearing up to start his first season with the Houston Rockets after being a seven time All-Star and now the team feels it's ready to win a championship with the 27-year-old center. The team will start Howard along with Jeremy Lin, Terrence Jones, Chandler Parsons and James Harden against the Magic and if that is their usual starting lineup this season, they will be a very tough team to beat going forward. The team comes into the season after being the number eight seed in the playoffs and now they will get the chance to battle the best of the west with Howard.

The Rockets come into the season after being the second ranked team in the NBA in scoring 1ith 106 points per game and they were ranked 28th in points allowed per game, something that having Howard will surely help. The team was in the top 10 in assists and rebounds per game and now Lin will have the chance to try and improve this season in his second year with the team. The Rockets played against the Indiana Pacers in international games for the preseason and those ended up being two wins, while they lost their first game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The team finishes the preseason with two games against Texas teams with the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs and then they will play the Memphis Grizzlies, which should be a nice test since the latter two teams made it to the west conference finals last season. The team opens the season at home with an easy game against the Bobcats and then they will play against Dallas before hitting the road against the Jazz and Clippers, which will mark the return of Howard to the Staples Center. The team then plays the Blazers before hosting his former team in the LA Lakers in Houston in what should be a very anticipated game.
