Aaron Hernandez will be back in Attleboro District Court for the first time since July after his probable cause hearing was delayed and things will pick up on August 22 and it is expected that Hernandez's case will be moved to Superior Court since it is a felony murder case.

According to local news channel WCVB in Boston, Hernandez will be coming to court from the Bristol County House of Corrections in Dartmouth and he will possibly be indicted for the murder of Odin Lloyd if the grand jury is ready. Hernandez is facing life in prison for the charges against him and he is being held in solitary confinement for his safety as the court proceedings and investigation continue.

The probable cause hearing was originally delayed by the judge in the case after a request from the state lawyers, as new evidence was being looked at and they said they needed more time before the case could continue. The judge granted the delay and the prosecution has also been able to look at surveillance video, including from Hernandez's home as well as the nightclub where Lloyd and Hernandez allegedly had an argument.

Lawyers got the chance to look at the video from the nightclub and reports have come out that the incident was what led to the murder later on. Other reports from the Boston Globe have the murder stemming from information that Lloyd knew about Hernandez's involvement in a double murder from last July, but so far that has not been confirmed. Police recently located the gun from that murder, but so far they have not been able to locate the gun used in the Lloyd murder, although it has been reported that they think the gun was a .45 caliber weapon.

Hernandez was arrested soon after the body of Lloyd was found less than a mile from his home and since then two other men have been arrested in connection with the crime, accomplices Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace. Ortiz has said that Wallace told him that Hernandez admitted to him that he pulled the trigger on Lloyd and now police are looking into whether Hernandez had anything to do with the double murder from last year in Boston. His girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins was suspected of trying to hide evidence or the murder weapon, which led police to search a storage unit in her name, although it was later found to have nothing there of interest.

Police searched the woods near Hernandez's home for the weapon and also extensively searched a pond in Bristol, but they turned up nothing in regards to the murder weapon. The lawyers for Hernandez has argued that the case is circumstantial and while some of the evidence is, the judge felt that due to the nature of the crime and what Hernandez is facing, he could be a flight risk depending on how things go, which is why he was denied bail.
