The Los Angeles Dodgers, one of baseball's hottest teams, takes the field against the Miami Marlins. Watch the action free online as it's MLB's Free Game of the Day. Check out the pitching matchups and what each team brings to the table on Monday evening.

The Dodgers are playing incredible baseball. They have gone from one of baseball's worst teams, to the top dogs in the N.L. West. So many thought they had become a failed experiment after so much spending over the offseason. However, the only way to sum up the latter half of their season is by saying they have not stopped winning.

On the mound for the Dodgers will be their rookie stud, one of the guys they invested a ton of cash in, Hyun-Jin Ryu. He's 12-3 with a 2.91 ERA in 3 starts this season. He's been a major reason why the Dodgers have been winning so many games. The last time Ryu lost a game? You'd have to go all the way back to June 19, exactly two months agao when he gave up three earned runs to the New York Yankees in five innings pitched. Since then, Ryu has been lights out, going 6-0 in his last nine starts. In his last two starts, he's given up a total of one earned run through 14 innings pitched, while striking out 10 and walking just one hitter.

Though the Dodgers appear to have the clear edge, don't be fooled so easily. Their rookie sensation, Jose Fernandez is taking the hill. Okay, his 8-5 record isn't very impressinve, but he's posting a 2.45 ERA with a 9.6 K/9 Ratio. It's obvious, if Hernandez played for a better team than the Marlins, he'd be a Max Scherzer. He's hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start, yet he's only 4-2 in his last 10 starts. Prime example, in his last start, he pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing only three hits, one walk and had three strikeouts. Hernandez took home the no-decision in that start against the Kansas City Royals.

What kind of offense will the Dodgers muster off of baseball's future ace? Will Ryu come into this game a little over confident and lose his winning streak agaisnt the Marlins? This should be a heck of a pitchers duel.
