Chelsea Transfer Rumors: David Luiz Top Target For Barcelona With Liverpool's Daniel Agger, Pep Guardiola Says Defender Not Coming To Bayern Munich

Barcelona is looking to add a big name this summer and so far reports have the club linked to Chelsea defender David Luiz and Liverpool's Daniel Agger and the move on one of those players could happen in the coming weeks.

According to Sky Sports, the club's top target to add this summer is Luiz and the Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo reports that he is the first option for coach Tata Martino and that negotiations with the Blues could start this week. Barcelona is also looking at Liverpool's Daniel Agger and if negotiations with Chelsea don't work out the club will likely turn its attention on him. The two would fit well into what Barcelona likes to do and although it will cost up to 30 million or more, both sides may be willing to work on the deal.

Luiz is looked at as one of the top players at his position and the 26-year-old would come over after scoring two goals in 30 appearances last season for Chelsea in the Premier League. Luiz reportedly had interest from Bayern Munich and that still could happen down the line, although coach Pep Guardiola, of course previously at Barcelona, said the Luiz will not be making the move despite the rumors. Guardiola said that he is happy with where the roster currently is and that he has five central defenders that he is satisfied with, but a move could be made if the other deal falls through.

Guardiola dismissed the rumors since he previously said that Thiago Alcantara would be the last addition to the team during this period and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho agreed and said there was "no chance he would move." Guardiola previously coached Alcantara and said that he would fit in well with Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez and Franck Ribery.
