Milwaukee Brewers Rumors: Investing on Fans is Key for Management Following Braun Suspension

Jul 29, 2013 01:58 PM EDT

The only reason the fans were jamming the seats at Miller Park may be gone for the 2013 season, but Milwaukee Brewers' management is doing their best to keep people in the seats. As reported by ESPN, Mark Attanasio, owner of the Brew Crew, will hand out vouchers to fans who show up to the 12 home games in the month of August. Who are they playing and how much is the voucher worth?

A ticket to Miller Park will award you with a $10 voucher, which you can use at concession stands, future tickets or team merchandise. "We were finalizing something like this to give back to our loyal fans just as news of Ryan's suspension hit," said the team's chief operating officer, Rick Schlesinger. It is a simple way to keep fans in the seats and give them a reason to visit the park. The Brewers are in last place in the central with a 43-61 record, fans are guaranteed to at least walk out with something valuable.

The Brewers will face Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels. These teams have superstars worth watching. You can see Bryce Harper of the Nationals, Brandon Phillips and Joey Votto of the Reds, Yadier Molina and Allen Craig of the Cards and Mike Trike, Mark Trumbo and maybe Albert Pujols of the Angels.

It will make a trip to the park less expensive for families as parents can use the voucher to buy their kids some cotton candy and not worry about having to reach into their pockets for the extra dough. On the other hand, since Brewer fans are still coming to the park despite their season struggles, Brewers owners ship will be spending over $3.6 million. Instead of pocketing the close to $3 million they're saving on Braun's contract, they will attempt to invest on their fans.
