The NFL is undergoing an interesting change as many players have come out for gay equality and with reports of at least four players coming out, speculation has been running rampant in the media about who it will be and one website believes one is Kerry Rhodes, as he was seen with his former assistant on vacation.
According to MediaTakeOut.com, the website published pictures on Thursday showing Rhodes with his arm around a male friend who was said to be his former assistant as well as pictures of the two walking together and either with Rhodes killing the man's head. The website says that is not saying that Rhodes was gay or not, but the move prompted Rhodes to come out and say that he was "not gay" and that he was on a trip with his business team. The site defended itself with the pictures, saying that it reports on relationships and that it wasn't an "insult" to speculate that he was gay and that there is nothing "shameful" about it.
"I am not gay," Rhodes flatly told TMZ on Friday. "The shots were taken during a past vacation in a casual environment with my entire business team."
Later he said: "Photos have been circulating of my former assistant and I that have caused some rumors regarding my sexuality, and I wanted to address the situation."
According to USA Today, the NFL is preparing for issues related to the players coming out and that they were loo9king for ways to help the players and assists them in dealing with PR and media as well as other issues.
Rhodes is a free agent after playing with the Cardinals last season.
