Arsenal Transfer News: Jovetic Has Agreed Gunners Move, According to FIFA Agent

Arsenal have clinched the signing of Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina, according to a well-known FIFA agent in Italy.

It is widely believed that Arsene Wenger has made Jovetic his priority transfer in the summer, and reports from Italy suggested Arsenal and Fiorentina were in advanced talks over a move.

Arsenal had reportedly made a £19.5 million ($30 million) bid, but Fiorentina were thought to be holding out for £25 million ($38 million).

However, those issues have been ironed out by both clubs if agent Guido Di Domenico is to be believed.

"Jovetic was among the possible options for Juventus, but my information is that the boy has already given the go ahead to move to Arsenal," Di Domenico told Il Sussidiario.

"He seems intrigued by their project and really could fly out to England."

Now of course these comments need to be taken with a pinch of salt as there are several other factors that need to be weighed in before confirming the move.

The biggest one would be the denial by Fiorentina of any deal being agreed with Arsenal.

"There has been no offer for Stevan," a spokesman for the club told the same website.

"We are absolutely not thinking about or discussing his future with anyone. All that counts right now is the final battle in Serie A."

If you are of the optimistic persuasion, you can read those comments one way. Arsenal are very particular about not announcing a deal, even if it is as good as done until all the issues have been resolved.

They usually also ask the club that they are doing business with to do the same; so the denial does not really mean anything, and Arsenal could still be on the verge of signing one of the hottest properties in Europe.

Of course, it could also mean that the FIFA agent could have been misinformed or his comments lost in translation.

Either way, it looks like the Jovetic to Arsenal saga still has a few more legs in it.
