Danica Patrick is one of the most popular drivers in NASCAR and although her birthday is not until March 25, she and boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. decided to start celebrating early, as the couple decided to take in a Las Vegas concert of Shania Twain.
According to the Sporting News, the couple headed to Las Vegas before the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at California for a concert at Caesars Palace as an early birthday gift. Patrick tweeted about the event and also wrote about the concert. She also added pictures of her blowing out a birthday cake for her celebration.
She wrote with the picture: "Shania! Bday week has begun! https://img.ly/tAa0."
Patrick and Stenhouse have dominated headlines since coming out publically with their relationship in January and Patrick will be looking for a better showing on Sunday in California after a few disappointing finishes.
Patrick had a historic week in Daytona, winning the pole and leading laps for the first time as a woman, but since then she has had poor starts, including in Phoenix when she lost a tire and crashed. Stenhouse is tops among rookies with four top 20 finishes, while Patrick finished in the top 10 at Daytona before coming in 39th, 33rd and 28th over the past three weeks.
Stenhouse is 11th in the standings while Patrick in 28th heading into Sunday's Auto Club 400. Patrick will celebrate her real birthday on Monday.
