Mike Krzyzewski Done with Men's Team USA Basketball

Head coach Mike Krzyzewski done? Wait, Duke Blue Devils, he's not done with you guys, Coach Krzyzewski is appeared to be done with leading the Men's USA Basketball team in international tournaments. After seven years of dominance, Coack Krzyzewski figured he'd step down on top.

He was interviewed on Tuesday and he didn't back down from the comments he made over the summer as far as coaching another USA Men's Basketball team. Coach Krzyzewski will be stepping down from his position as head coach of Team USA and said President and Chairman Jerry Colangelo will have to find somebody else to fill his shoes at the end of this year.

In retrospect, while Coach Krzyzewski was working hard on keeping his Blue Devils at the top of their game, he also brought Team USA basketball back to the top of its game as they completely dominated after an embarrassing 2004 Olympic and 2002 World Cup performances. Team USA Men's Basketball was far removed from the 1992 Dream Team that featured legends and Hall of Famers up and down their roster. However, Coach Krzyzewski ensured American talent would not fail on the NBA floors and made it a mission to bring the winning culture.

Team USA completely dominated the 2012 Olympics. It would be interesting if we could somehow time travel and see if these guys can face the 1992 Dream Team as they feature some of the best basketball players in the history of the game.

Coach Krzyzewski had some part in the 1992 Dream Team, though he wasn't head coach, he was an assistant and has been a part of the Team USA staff since 1979. He knows what winning is all about and made sure Team USA wouldn't fail anymore. In fact, the last time Team USA won an international ball game was in 2006.

He took over Team USA basketball in 2007 and now Coach Krzyzewski is calling his shots leaving behind the international portion of his career.

"I've loved, loved, loved, and it's been an honor being with the USA Basketball team. To coach the team and work with Jerry these seven years has been marvelous. We're in a good spot," Krzyzewski said, "We need to keep building."

And building they are. With young talents always pouring into the NBA, Team USA already has a future point guard in Kyrie Irving whose popularity is growing consistently. He's an All-Star, a Three-Point Shootout winner and without a doubt, the Cleveland Cavaliers' MVP.

Other countries are bringing up talent as well, which is why Krzyzewski will keep close with Colangelo as Team USA looks forward to winning more international tournaments in the future. Krzyzewski has no doubts that whoever takes over the head coaching job in the future will do a great job.

Rumors are flying that Doug Collins, who is currently coaching the Philadelphia 76ers, should take over the head coaching job after Krzyzewski officially steps down.
