Chelsea will be without its captain on Sunday when the club takes on Manchester City in the FA Cup. Manager Guus Hiddink said that Terry would not play in the fifth round matchup after suffering a hamstring injury last week, according to BBC News

Terry was originally injured last weekend in a Premier League match for Chelsea against Newcastle. Terry did not travel with the team mid-week when they played against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, and he will now miss another match. Chelsea is hosting Manchester City in the crucial FA Cup set, as the team is trying to salvage some hardware after floundering in the EPL this season.

Hiddink said that Terry should be able to return next week when Chelsea plays against Southampton on the Premier League schedule, according to The Guardian. Terry apparently tried to practice on Thursday and could not participate due to the injury. He did not practice with the team on Friday, and Hiddink said that he wanted to be a "bit cautious" so that Terry would not suffer any setbacks.

With Terry down, there is a chance that Branislav Ivanovic will move into his spot, and it also could mean some playing time for Matt Miazga. Chelsea is looking to advance to the Sixth Round of the FA Cup over Manchester City, who comes in after losing to Tottenham and Leicester City in their last two matches. Chelsea remains alive for hardware in the FA Cup and the Champions League, but they are far down the table in the Premier League after winning the title last season.
