The Golden State Warriors appear to have the perfect roster. The team is thriving against opponents right now making it hard to pick out a potential weakness of the unit. That is not stopping them from looking at upgrades heading into the last half of the season. With size needed, Anderson Varejao and David Lee are getting targeted.

Varejao was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers after 12 years with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was then released and is waiting to clear waivers before becoming available. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Varejao will be a target of the Warriors who have an open spot on the 15-man roster. The Warriors do have a need for Varejao. Festus Ezeli underwent knee surgery and is expected to be out for the next six weeks at least. The team needs backup size and Varejao would be a good fit.

"I have not been notified of that but it makes perfect sense, right?" Warriors coach Steve Kerr said, via ESPN.com. "I don't even know, am I allowed to even mention his name? I can get fined by the NBA. I don't even know what the rule is."

The Warriors are not the only team looking at Varejao. Stein reports the Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks will have interest. That could mean the Warriors miss out and must look elsewhere for help. The buyouts are just starting, but could a familiar face re-join the team with David Lee?

According to Chris Forsberg, Lee will have his contract bought out by the Boston Celtics are not getting traded. The Celtics shopped Lee to everyone and there were no takers on the big man who fell victim to a crowded roster group. Lee arrived in Boston after getting traded from Golden State. That means he is not able to re-sign with the Warriors until next season. ESPN's Tim MacMahon reports the Dallas Mavericks are the front runner to sign Lee instead.

The Warriors could hope that Roy Hibbert becomes available. According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, the Lakers are not planning on buying out Hibbert after a trade was not found at the deadline. However, that could also change in the coming. The issue for the Lakers is getting rid of Hibbert leaves them lacking key depth in size. They cannot afford to let Hibbert go.

Varejao is the best fit for the Warriors. The center told his fans via Facebook that he is going to take some time to decide where he plays next. He is still a quality center that could thrive for someone like Golden State who are a favorable destination as they look poised to return to the NBA Finals.
