The Denver Broncos will find themselves in a bit of a situation this offseason, as both of their lead backs will be hitting free agency and they must decide who to re-sign.

C.J. Anderson is a restricted free agent, but the choice is a tough one as both Anderson and Ronnie Hillman have shown flashes of greatness throughout the season. The only problem is that both of them have looked better than one another at different points during the year. In 2015 Anderson recorded 152 rushing attempts, 720 yards, 4.7 yards per carry and five touchdowns, all in 6 starts. He has also averaged 4.8 yards over his Broncos career.

Hillman on the other hand recorded 207 rushing attempts in 10 starts, 863 yards, 4.2 yards per carry, 7 touchdowns, and a fumble. Hillman also has averaged 4.1 yards per carry during his career in Denver. Hillman actually had a better season overall but might be the less productive back in the long run.

The Broncos also will select 31st in the 2016 NFL draft so they could potentially take the second best running back off the board. Denver could let one of these running backs leave and add a top prospect like Derrick Henry, who could one day be Denver's lead back. The Broncos will likely experiment with Anderson for another season, however he could be replaced if the Broncos draft a running back with thier first pick.
