The Houston Texans may consider releasing Arian Foster this offseason after the running back missed time with injuries in 2015. The Texans have a major need at quarterback and players like Sam Bradford, Christian Hackenberg and Connor Cook could be potential targets for head coach Bill O'Brien.

The Texans are coming into the offseason after a disappointing playoffs loss to the Chiefs and that is one reason why the team may target the quarterback position this offseason. Brian Hoyer is likely coming back for next year, but after the way he finished the season, the team will likely want some competition in training camp. Tom Savage is also on the roster and could get the chance to start and the team may look at free agency or the draft to bring in some more options.

Sam Bradford is heading towards free agency and if he doesn't stay with the Eagles, he is expected to be a top target for teams on the market. Pro Football Focus writes that Bradford could be a good fit with the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans or New York Jets if he doesn't sign in Philadelphia. PFF writes that after the Texans used four different starters last season, Houston will be looking for more consistency and Bradford could fit that bill.

The website writes that Hoyer had the worst grade ever given by PFF for a playoff performance and that could lead the team to bring in a new starter. If the team looks for an option in the draft, names like Connor Cook, Paxton Lynch, Christian Hackenberg and Kevin Hogan could be options. The team likely picks too far back in the first round to get Jared Goff or Carson Wentz (and maybe Lynch), but players like Hackenberg and Cook should still be on the board when the Texans come up.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans may release Arian Foster this offseason after the running back dealt with injuries last year. Foster is set to make a non-guaranteed $6.5 million next season and the Chronicle reports that he could be let go. The team has Alfred Blue coming back after leading the Texans in rushing last season and he could take over as the starter.
