Off-the-field issues are once again plaguing LeSean McCoy. The running back was reportedly traded from the Philadelphia Eagles because of issues and now he is facing problems with the Buffalo Bills after allegations he was involved in a bar fight in Philadelphia that injured two off-duty cops. While an arrest has yet to be made, McCoy is a suspect which could force the Bills to make a move.

According to ABC 6 Action News in Philadelphia, an arrest warrant is expected to be issued on Wednesday for McCoy following his connection with the assault. Sources report that criminal charges are recommended as the running back is a main suspect in the case. The Buffalo Bills have issued a statement that they are currently gathering more information on the entire issue before making a move on what to do with McCoy. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports that paid leave could be the short-term move for McCoy while a release could be coming.

According to Bucky Gleason of the Buffalo News, the Bills would be wise to simply cut ties with McCoy after one year with the team. Gleason makes the point that the off-the-field issues are too high while the production on the field was too low. The running back earned $16 million last season for 895 yards and five touchdowns. On top of that, he had issues with the media and the team ownership which hurt his standing with the franchise.

The biggest problem for McCoy could be Karlos Williams. The Bills drafted Williams to pair with McCoy and some could make the point that the rookie overshadowed the veteran. Williams put up 517 yards and seven touchdowns as a backup while also missing time for a concussion. He has less wear and tear than McCoy does while also having proven success. The Bills could cut ties with McCoy knowing they have a capable replacement already on the roster.

The same cannot be said for the receiver position. Faith is falling in Robert Woods while Percy Harvin remains an unknown. According to FOX Sports, the Bills would not mind bringing Harvin back if he is healthy, but that is a huge if considering the receiver once again ended his season early due to injuries. The Bills appear poised to make an addition to the rotation either via the draft or free agency. The team could become major players for guys like Braxton Miller or Josh Doctson in the second round of the draft while Travis Benjamin or Rishard Matthews could be targets to run alongside Sammy Watkins in 2016.
