The Boston Celtics are visiting the New York Knicks on Tuesday night on the NBA schedule as NY tries to go for the Madison Square Garden sweep of the Celtics this season. The game starts at 7:30 pm ET and has the Knicks looking to snap out of funk that has seen the team lose five of the past six games.

The Knicks are fighting to get into playoff contention, while the Celtics are in the mix in the eastern conference this season. The Celtics just had a five game winning streak snapped and they will try and bounce back with the game on Tuesday. The Knicks have the chance to sweep the MSG games against the Celtics this season with a win and it comes as the team has lost both trips to Boston so far this year.

Kristaps Porzingis comes into the game after having one of his best performances last month against the Celtics, scoring 26 points in 26 minutes against the team. Porzingis has been one of the bright spots for the Knicks this season and he has been one of the reasons why they have improved from last year. Porzingis has been averaging 13 points per game over his last six and he is trying to improve some issues with fouls that have been following him all season.

The Knicks are now 23-27 on the season after getting back to .500 a bit earlier and they will try and cut into that with a win here on Tuesday. Carmelo Anthony has been dealing with some knee soreness for the Knicks, but he has been playing at a high level and comes in after scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to the Warriors on Sunday.

The Knicks may have Langston Galloway in the starting lineup again, as Jose Calderon is dealing with a strained right groin and is considered day to day. Isaiah Thomas comes into the game playing well for the Celtics, especially on the road, as he has been averaging over 25 points per game in his last eight away from home. The Celtics are five games over .500 at 27-22 this season and they have looked like a solid playoff team in the east this year.

Jae Crowder may not suit up for the Celtics against the Knicks, as he has been dealing with a leg injury and is considered uncertain for the game. Crowder has not missed a game this season and said to the media that he is dealing with a bruised right shin coming into the matchup.
