The Cleveland Browns may be looking for a new quarterback in the 2016 NFL draft and players like Carson Wentz and Jared Goff could be potential targets for Hue Jackson. Johnny Manziel's future remains up in the air after dealing with off the field issues last season, although owner Jimmy Haslam thinks the quarterback has a chance to fix things.

The Browns brought in Jackson to take over for Mike Pettine and the new head coach has already made multiple comments stating that he thinks the Browns need a quarterback. The Browns have the number two overall pick in the draft this year and the team may look at players like Jared Goff or Carson Wentz as options. Goff has been looked at as the top quarterback of this draft class by many scouts and some early mock drafts have Goff going at number two to the Browns.

The Browns have already started work on evaluating the quarterbacks, as the team had coaches and scouts at the Senior Bowl in Alabama this week. According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Jackson spent time with Wentz and was able to talk with him at the Senior Bowl. Cabot writes that Jackson said he was impressed with Wentz and how he performed in practice leading up to the game. Jackson and the Browns likely will look at upgrading at the quarterback position and Wentz is starting to generate some buzz as a top 10 pick.

Wentz has the size at 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds to be an NFL quarterback and his performance during the week of practice at the Senior Bowl has scouts moving him up on draft lists. Daniel Jeremiah at NFL Network has Wentz being drafted in the top five, while Mel Kiper at ESPN thinks that the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns could target the North Dakota State star. Wentz might have more to prove as an FCS quarterback and he comes in after throwing 45 touchdowns in 42 games in his college career.

Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has continued to have issues off the field, including over the weekend, according to ESPN. The report says that Manziel police were called in to "investigate an incident involving Manziel in Fort Worth, Texas." The police released a statement saying that an "incident report" was being put together regarding "an altercation between Manziel and his girlfriend." Earlier this season Manziel had an issue with his girlfriend and was questioned by police after a "domestic incident."
