It is being reported that controversial Dallas Cowboys free agent pickup Greg Hardy will not return to the Cowboys in 2016. The team has decided to part ways with the troubled pass rusher after a somewhat mediocre 2015 season.

The Dallas pass rush (or lack thereof) is a constant staple of every draft, free agency period, or game so for Jerry Jones to let such a productive pass rusher go he must have done something to turn off the Cowboys. Apparently Hardy partied a ton during the season which led to him not being in peak physical condition and also his frequent lateness to team meetings and activities.

Hardy may be talented but his issues with lateness are well documented. Hardy will likely have suitors from other NFL rosters as he still is a solid force on the football field but it is clear that the yearlong suspension he served did him no favors.

Teammates were regularly unhappy with the unfair treatment Hardy would receive in relation to other players on the roster. Hardy would arrive at meetings late if at all, along with other infractions but he was never disciplined.

This partly could be because the Cowboys were seeing just what he would do and make their decision from there. Hardy will be playing football next season but it is very unlikely it is for the Dallas Cowboys.
