The Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks are playing live on the NBA schedule on Tuesday night and the game is from Madison Square Garden. The game starts at 7:30 pm ET and will be on NBATV as Kevin Durant matches up with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

Durant was asked about the Knicks and had high praise for Porzingis, who has been one of the best rookies in the league this season. Durant was also asked about his free agency that is coming up and whether he would be interested in playing in New York, but he did not get into details about what is on his mind regarding that. Durant has been back to his MVP self after dealing with injuries last season and now he will take on Melo at MSG.

Anthony has been dealing with some knee issues lately and he is planning to play through them as the two teams match up on Tuesday night. The Knicks have been playing well lately and they have been playing well at home and will try and avoid losing back to back games at home for the first time since last year. The Thunder have not lost two games in a row in a couple of months and that should add some intrigue to this matchup in NYC.

The Thunder come into the game at 33-13 on the season and they have been one of the best teams in the west and in the league overall. The team was not able to do their usual practice routine with all the snow in New York and the team comes in after a loss against the Nets. Durant did all he could in the loss, putting up 32 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Russell Westbrook had 27 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the game.

The Thunder have only lost five times in the last 27 games and that will make this a tough matchup for the Knicks to get through. The Knicks are 22-24 on the season and that is a major improvement from last year and the team now is trying to avoid losing row straight at home after previously winning six in a row at the Garden. The Knicks lost against the Clippers at home and then against the Hornets on the road before coming into this game.
