All signs point to the Dallas Cowboys adding a quarterback this offseason. Team owner Jerry Jones has made it clear that the team needs depth behind Tony Romo after an injury to the quarterback ended the 2015 season before it really began. The Cowboys have never made the backup quarterback spot a priority with Romo on the field, but this season made it clear that it must change before next season. However, where will Dallas go to get that quarterback of the future?

There is a group of Dallas fans eye Robert Griffin III as an option to play behind Tony Romo. Griffin is expected to be made available in the coming weeks from the Washington Redskins and was spotted wearing a Dallas jersey in public. According to the Dallas Morning News, both Griffin and Johnny Manziel have been listed as potential options for the Cowboys to place behind Romo as they are young, but experienced.

However, Cowboys' fans should not expect to see either quarterback in a Dallas uniform. According to Jones via ESPN.com, the Cowboys will prioritize a quarterback in the draft and not the free agent market. Jones noted the team is looking for youth to develop and mold considering they are fully expecting Romo to be their starting quarterback in 2016. Romo is aware of the draft plans for the Cowboys and told the media that he fully supports the idea.

"We're going to evaluate everybody and the organization is going to look at who to take and they're going to take the best player," Romo said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. "If the best player there is a quarterback, then that's what our team needs. Our team needs good players. That's what we need. And if it's the best player at a different position, I'm just obviously a player on the football team and I don't have to make those decisions, and I'm glad. My job is go out and get better and make sure this team wins next year. And I'm going to do everything in my power to ensure that."

The Cowboys will draft at No.4. According to Archer, there is a real chance they use that pick on a quarterback. With Romo turning 26 and having a two broken collarbones in one season, getting a top draft option could be the best move for Dallas' future. Jared Goff is being view as a potential told option. Christian Hackenberg from Penn State just declared. Connor Cook has a good arm. Paxton Lynch is versatile. The Cowboys certainly have options in front of them and now they must determine just how early they want to select someone.
