The Indiana Hoosiers and Duke Blue Devils are playing live on the college football bowl schedule for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl and the game starts at 3:30 pm ET on ABC for TV coverage from Yankee Stadium. This game could be a high-scoring matchup with these two teams in the Bronx, as both have put up strong numbers on offense this year.
The two teams come into the game averaging over 30 points per contest and the Hoosiers come in allowing nearly 40 per game. Indiana has been scoring quite a bit coming into the game, averaging nearly 50 points over the last three games. Jordan Howard has been the leading running back for Indiana, but after he dealt with an injury, back Devine Redding has stepped up and played well, putting up over 270 yards in the last two games.
Blue Devils quarterback Thomas Sirk has been solid this season and he has passed for 15 touchdowns and six interceptions this year. Sirk has 2462 yards passing this season and he will be battling with Nate Sudfeld, who has passed for 3,184 yards with 24 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Hoosiers rushing game should be a major factor, as the team has rushed for over 2400 combined yards this season.
Jordan Howard put up 1213 yards and nine touchdowns this season for Indiana and he could play in the game, while Sirk has been the leading rusher for Duke with 648 yards and six scores. Simmie Cobbs Jr is leading the Hoosiers in receiving with 54 catches for 914 yards and four scores, while Max McCaffrey has 48 catches for 601 yards and five scores for Duke.
