Brock Osweiler started out hot in the Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the quarterback cooled off in a big way leading the comeback win for the Steelers. The quarterback finished the day going 21 of 44 for 296 yards with three touchdowns and an interception, but it was not enough. Now, the Broncos must answer questions about who will start in Week 16 as Peyton Manning starts getting testy with reporters.

According to Manning's agent Tom Condon via ESPN.com, the quarterback is not healthy. Manning has been off the field since suffering a partially torn fascia and while he did return to the practice field for some scout team work, his return to a game appears to potentially need more time. With his health still in question, reporters have asked Manning if he is ok being a backup to Osweiler. After it was reported, the veteran quarterback denied the idea calling the whole thing insulting. Head coach Gary Kubiak defended the quarterback.

"That's sad to hear. I'm going to tell you what: Hell no, no way. OK?" Kubiak said, via ESPN.com. "He's working his tail off to get back on the field, that's what he's doing.''

According to Kubiak, the quarterback position will be evaluated on a week-by-week basis. However, until Manning is healthy, it is Osweiler's job for the taking. ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Manning is hoping to get back on the field soon as the Broncos remain in contention for the playoffs, but his agent reports that the rehab for the foot injury is taking longer than anticipated and a time table was simply unknown right now.

"Peyton isn't healthy," Condon said, via ESPN.com. "Dr. (Robert) Anderson said if the injury lasts nine months to a year, he should consider surgery. During his 18 years in the NFL, he has and continues to be an extraordinary example of excellence as a player and teammate. For (anyone) to suggest that a healthy Peyton Manning wouldn't help his team lacks integrity and fundamental knowledge of Peyton and what he stands for."

For now, Osweiler will get the nod again. After showing moments of greatness, things fell apart for the quarterback and offense. The run game struggled. Ronnie Hillman led the way with just 48 yards while CJ Anderson struggled in his return from an ankle injury with just four carries for 14 yards. Anderson's health was questionable while Emmanuel Sanders appears to be fine after being banged up for a few weeks. He had 10 catches for 181 yards and a touchdown while Demaryius Thomas grabbed two scores, but again it was not enough for the win. The Broncos will face the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football in Week 16 as they battle for the postseason.
