The Cincinnati Bengals may be without Tyler Eifert in Week 13 after the tight end missed practice after dealing with a neck injury last Sunday. The team is expecting Jeremy Hill to play after dealing with an injury last week and players like Giovani Bernard and AJ Green could be solid fantasy start options for Andy Dalton against the Browns as Cincy tries to clinch a playoff spot.
Eifert suffered a "stinger" last week against the Rams and while he said he was "fine" after the game, Eifert was unable to participate in practice for the Bengals. According to Geoff Hobson from Bengals.com, Eifert is doubtful for the game on Sunday and there is a good chance he will not play after not working in practice during the week. Eifert has been one of the best offensive weapons for Andy Dalton this season, but the tight end likely will be out this week.
Eifert has put up strong numbers this season after playing in just one game last year, as he has 12 touchdowns in 11 games for the Bengals. Replacing his production will be tough, but Tyler Kroft can help make up for it and AJ Green is expected to see an increase in targets with Eifert likely out. The Bengals are in strong position to make the playoffs and win the AFC North division and the team likely wants Eifert to be fully healthy rather than risk any chance of a more serious injury.
Hill is not listed on the injury report for the Bengals after dealing with an ankle injury and he is on track to play in Week 13. Hill had two touchdowns in the previous game against the Cardinals and he had 86 yards rushing against the Rams before leaving with an injury. Hill has been the lead back for the Bengals this season and over the last couple games he has had double digit carries. Bernard is still a strong option for fantasy owners behind Hill, as he has 10 catches and 16 carries over the last two games.
The Bengals have been dealing with a number of injuries this week, including to George Iloka, Leon Hall and Adam Jones. According to Pro Football Talk, Jones and Hall were both able to practice on a limited basis on Friday and the players are listed as questionable for the game on Sunday. Hall is dealing with an ankle injury, while Jones is dealing with a foot injury. Iloka comes into the game listed as questionable after dealing with a groin injury.
