Kansas City Chiefs
Jeremy Maclin (Wide Receiver): Ever since his injury Maclin has struggled mightily to see some solid production. Maclin was only targeted 6 times last week hitting almost a season low. Maclin should be a better option this week but San Diego has given up the 8th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. So expect more just not much more than week 10.
Charcandrick West (Running Back): West has been on fire these last 3 games and the common thread amongst all of those games is that he had over 20 carries. West should see the same workload against a defense that has given up the most fantasy points to running backs this season. West is a high level RB 1 option this week.
Travis Kelce (Tight End): With West becoming the offensive centerpiece Kelce struggled to find any production last week. Kelce has only had 1 touchdown since week 1 so it is clear that the passing offense is being scaled down somewhat to allow West to have a ton of carries. Kelce should be a TE2 with TE1 upside.
San Diego Chargers
Stevie Johnson (Wide Receivers): With Malcom Floyd suffering a torn labrum in week 10 Johnson is the Chargers only real option besides his tight ends and Ladarius Green is still a question mark for week 11. Johnson was one of Rivers best receivers prior to him being injured; the Chargers need him back in that role now more than ever. Kansas City also allows the most fantasy points to wide receivers so this is a particularly good matchup for Johnson.
Antonio Gates (Tight End): Gates is not 100 percent however he was fairly productive in his return to the field. Gates will struggle this week against a defense that has been the best in the NFL against tight ends in 2015 and if he cannot really utilize his explosiveness he is headed towards another low scoring fantasy game.
Melvin Gordon/Danny Woodhead (Running Backs): Kansas City gives up the 5th fewest fantasy points to running backs and Melvin Gordon has already had enough of a hard time running behind his offensive line. Gordon struggles to be productive most likely because his offensive line cannot get any decent push to create holes or open space. This has required Woodhead to become the main running back by being an effective receiving threat for Rivers. Before the season a Gordon/Gurley comparison was unheard of now it seems as if they are in two completely different leagues. Woodhead should be a solid flex starter.
Phillip Rivers (Quarterback): Kansas City gets a lot of sacks on opposing quarterbacks and the more pressure Rivers has to play against the worse he is. Rivers is missing a lot of weapons and his first round running back has failed to live up to expectations, now Rivers fantasy value will likely be on the decline.
