The Minnesota Vikings are expecting Teddy Bridgewater to start in Week 10 despite suffering a concussion on a hard hit against the Rams Sunday. Stefon Diggs was able to play after dealing with a hamstring injury and he is a solid fantasy start option Sunday, while Adrian Peterson has continued his strong play after coming back from off the field issues last year.

Bridgewater appears to be on track to start on Sunday after suffering a concussion, as Chris Tomasson at the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the quarterback has passed the first test in the concussion protocol. Pro Football Talk writes that Mike Zimmer said that Bridgewater should be "good to go" for the game on Sunday against Oakland. Bridgewater had to leave the game on Sunday after getting an elbow to the head on a hit by the Rams and he did not return. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Bridgewater is "progressing nicely" after passing the first concussion test, but he has not been fully cleared yet for this week.

Bridgewater said after the game that he felt "fine" and that if he needed to, he would have been able to return to the game. The Vikings are in playoff contention and in the lead in the NFC North along with the Packers at 6-2. The team has a slight edge for now with a 3-0 divisional record and the team has been playing well with Bridgewater under center. While Bridgewater has not put up eye popping stats, he has been limiting turnovers and has been relying on Adrian Peterson in the running game.

Peterson is having a strong comeback season after missing all but one game last year while dealing with off the field issues. Peterson has 758 yards and is a candidate for comeback player of the year. Bridgewater has just six touchdowns and six interceptions this season, but he is completing 64 percent of his passes and has been able to keep the offense on track. Zimmer said that Bridgewater will be able to practice if he can get through the early part of the week without any setbacks. Zimmer felt the hit against Bridgewater was a dirty one, while Peterson said that he did not think the hit to the head was intentional.

Either way, Zimmer was upset after the game at the Rams and the team is hoping that Bridgewater can come back in Week 10 without any lingering issues. Stefon Diggs came into last week with a hamstring injury and he had his worst game of the season, going for just three catches for 42 yards. Diggs looked a bit slowed by the hamstring and he could be limited for Week 10. Diggs got off to a blazing start for the Vikings, putting up at least six catches for 85 yards in his first four games and he has scored a TD in two of the past three. Diggs has emerged as a starter over Mike Wallace and Charles Johnson this season.
