Eddie Lacy is not having the best season while the Green Bay Packers have struggled recently. The running back continues to suffer setbacks with injuries that are not improving and Week 9 was no different. After healing from an ankle injury and other small issues, Lacy was forced to leave the game against the Carolina Panthers with a groin injury that could set him back for some time.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Lacy suffered a groin injury that forced him to leave the game and not return. This is his second injury of the season as he was hit with an ankle sprain in the win over the Seattle Seahawks. Lacy's production was not good before the injury which is not helping his case as he had just 10 yards on five carries. Lacy's injuries have prevented him from putting up more than 38 yards in the past four games.

With Lacy out, James Starks could be the favored back. The backup had 112 yards on 10 carries against the San Diego Chargers. He is healthy and ready for the start should Lacy be injured and unable to play in Week 10. The issues at the running back position were not the only thing plaguing the Packers as the offense simply did not look good against Carolina. That begs the question of whether or not the Packers should at least try adding healthy bodies onto the field.

The Packers have lost back-to-back divisional games. The offense is in a major funk and not even Jordy Nelson could fix the issue. While they have an easy schedule that works in their favor, Aaron Rodgers and company need to begin to figure things out. Injuries to Ty Montgomery and Davante Adams have certainly not helped while Randall Cobb was healthy for the first time all season. Adding another wide receiver target like Hakeem Nicks or Reggie Wayne would at least give Green Bay another playmaker to work with as Cobb only caught four of his 11 passes and Adams brought in seven of his 11 targets.

Head coach Mike McCarthy admitted that the team is not looking to panic, but they simply cannot execute well at the moment. Rodgers is confident that the team can battle back. He noted that they have been in this position before and certainly found their way back from disaster. While injuries are not helping the cause, Rodgers is confident.

"We've shown in the past we can win on the road," said Rodgers, via ESPN.com. "I feel confident that we can do it down the line. We've played two really good opponents, who were undefeated, at their place. "I think we flip those home and away there, and I think we could be 8-0 sitting here. We're not, obviously. We're 6-2. We've got eight games in front of us."
