Ben Roethlisberger #7 of the Pittsburgh Steelers sits on the field after being injured in the 4th quarter of the game against the Oakland Raiders at Heinz Field on November 8, 2015 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. "

The NFL Week 9 injury update has players like Ben Roethlisberger, Teddy Bridgewater, Dion Lewis, LeSean McCoy, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dez Bryant, Antonio Gates, DeMarcus Ware and Johnathan Hankins banged up. Roethlisberger is dealing with a sprained foot, while Bridgewater was put into the concussion protocol for the Vikings.

UPDATE: Lewis has a torn ACL and is out for the season.

Roethlisberger recently returned from a knee injury for the Steelers and he now could miss some time going forward after injuring his foot. According to Pro Football Talk, Roethlisberger had to leave the game in the fourth quarter against the Raiders after being sacked by Aldon Smith. Roethlisberger had to hobble off the field with help from players and he is dealing with a sprained foot, according to Chris Mortensen at ESPN. Mortensen reports that Roethlisberger could have a Projected absence of 1-to-2 weeks," according to a team source.

Teddy Bridgewater had to leave the game for the Minnesota Vikings after taking a hit to the head against the Rams. According to Pro Football Talk, Bridgewater left the game in the second quarter after he took an elbow to the head and then had his head hit the ground. Bridgewater is "officially" in the concussion protocol and based on the initial report he should be fine for next week against the Raiders. Bridgewater said that he could have returned to the game if he needed to and that he feels "fine" following the hit.

Dion Lewis was injured for the Patriots and the team is hoping that the injury to his knee is not serious. According to Adam Schefter at ESPN, Lewis will undergo an MRI to see the extent of his damage and the initial report is that he has a "loose ACL", but that it's possible that it is torn. Schefter reported that there is "no swelling yet" and that is a "good sign," but that the "loose" ACL is a "bad sign" and could mean that it's torn. The MRI will reveal the extent of the injury for Lewis, who has been one of the most productive players on offense for the Pats this season.

LeSean McCoy left the Dolphins game with a shoulder injury, but the injury does not appear to be serious, according to Pro Football Talk. McCoy said to the Buffalo News that he should be "all right" after the injury. Karlos Williams stepped up with 110 yards in the game and McCoy had 112 yards rushing on 16 carries. McCoy said he would have "for sure" been able to return to the game if he needed to. The Bills have a short week with the Jets coming Thursday.

Ryan Fitzpatrick played for the Jets on Sunday, but the quarterback said he likely will need surgery on his thumb after injuring it last week. According to the New York Post, Fitzgerald could have surgery on Friday following the game against the Bills. Fitzpatrick said that it's "kind of up in the air" heading into the week. DeMarcus Ware is dealing with a back injury and Antonio Gates comes into the week banged up for the Chargers.
