The Dallas Cowboys have officially parted ways with Joseph Randle as the dynamic running back faces NFL suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Randle was a one-time starter for the Cowboys and proved he is a solid starting option for any team after having 315 yards on the season with a team-high four touchdowns. However, a fall out with the coaching staff led to Randle's release and now he hopes to get picked up by someone else.

Any NFL team that is on the verge of being a contender could look to Randle for help. While the running back is facing a suspension, Mike DiRocco of ESPN writes that it might not turn away as many teams as people think. Injuries are stacking up and Randle is still quality talent on the field. The Pittsburgh Steelers could be the first to look as they lost Le'Veon Bell for the season. The team is planning on using DeAngelo Williams in the backfield, but having Randle as a backup would be a solid insurance plan.

The Chicago Bears are prepared to be without Matt Forte for several games. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Bears are eyeing a contract to Montee Ball, but no move has been made just yet. That could leave the door open for Randle who would be a solid option to pair next to rookie Jeremy Langford. The New Orleans Saints also need help in the run game as they look to make a run in the NFC South. They brought back Tim Hightower to replace Khiry Robinson so it could end the Randle interest.

Randle might be facing a suspension this year, but he could be a quality option to bring on in order to keep around for next year. The Houston Texans are a team facing a lot of questions in the run game. Arian Foster is out for the year as his injury history piles up. Having Alfred Blue is nice, but a combination that includes Randle could be better. The Texans could try and get Randle now and then re-sign him for cheap.

The running back market is getting thin at the moment. The 49ers signed Pierre Thomas while Ball could be headed to Chicago. That leaves Steven Jackson, Ray Rice and Trent Richardson as the other marquee names available for the taking. Randle could find himself a favorite if another injury takes place to a contending team.
