The Syracuse Orange and Florida State Seminoles are playing live on the ACC college football schedule from Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium starting at 12 pm ET. The game has FSU dealing with some injuries and that could make it closer than expected for the Seminoles and Jimbo Fisher.

The Seminoles come in with Dalvin Cook and Everett Golson out for the game against Syracuse and that means Sean Maguire will be starting. The team has Clemson next week and they hope that Cook and Golson can come back and play against the Tigers. The Seminoles come in after a loss and now they are trying to get back on track and they are 4-1 this season in the ACC.

Syracuse comes in having lost four straight games after opening 3-0 and they will still have a tough test even with the injuries. The Seminoles come in at 6-1 on the season and the Orange are 3-4 and this could be a tough test for FSU with all the injuries coming in. Cook has been dealing with a hamstring injury and Florida State likely wants him to be healthy for Clemson next weekend.

Cook also has an ankle injury sustained last week and he comes in averaging over eight yards per carry this season. Syracuse's defense is not ranked high and that should give the Seminoles some chances and the Orange will try and push Eric Dungey, who has 11 touchdowns this season while throwing just three picks. Jordan Fredericks had 91-yards against Pittsburgh and he has 360 yards and is averaging over 5.0 yards per carry.

Cook is a potential Heisman candidate and he will be out this week and has rushed for 1,037 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Cook is hampered by an ankle injury that he suffered against Georgia Tech and the Seminoles have not had a regular season loss in quite some time after the run they have had. The game ended on a wild play with Georgia Tech blocking a field goal attempt and that pushed FSU down in the top 25 ranks.

Florida State has Clemson coming up next and then a game against NC State before the gimme against Chattanooga. The team will end the season with a rivalry game and that will be against Florida. The Seminoles likely will have to win out to get back into the mix of things and the GT loss was a tough one especially with how it happened.
