The Green Bay Packers are coming into Week 8 against the Broncos a bit banged up, as James Starks was limited in practice and that could give Eddie Lacy the chance to be the lead back on Sunday. Davante Adams returned to practice and he could be ready to start on Sunday after missing time for Aaron Rodgers.

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Starks was limited in practice on Thursday and he did not practice on Wednesday. Starks has been getting some extra work with Eddie Lacy banged up, as the running back has been dealing with an ankle injury this season. Lacy is looking better coming out of the bye week, as Mike McCarthy said that he "looks good" and that he doesn't think the injury "is affecting him anymore."

Fantasy owners should look at Lacy as the starter option this week over Starks, as he could be limited in the game if he doesn't progress over the next couple days. Davante Adams is expected to be back this week and it comes after he missed Week 6 and the previous two games with an ankle injury. ESPN reports that Adams was a limited participant at practice, but that the "plan" is for him to play on Sunday. Adams has been banged up this season and he has only nine catches for 92 yards in three games.

James Jones has stepped up behind Randall Cobb with Adams and Ty Montgomery dealing with injuries and he is worth starting this week. Rodgers continues to find Jones in the end zone and he could be a good start option despite the tough matchup against Denver. Jeff Janis saw snaps on Sunday with Montgomery out and he could get a chance to play with the injuries coming out of the bye week if Adams is not a full go. Janis had two catches on four targets for 79 yards against the Chargers and those were his first receptions of the season.

Lacy and Starks each have about the same amount of carries on the season and Starks is coming in after rushing for 112 yards and one touchdown before the bye against the Chargers. Starks caught a touchdown pass in the game and this season he has 63 carries for 286 yards and two total touchdowns. Lacy was limited to just four rushes for three yards in the win against the Chargers and the week off could be big for the running back in getting healthy.

The Packers have been dealing with injuries at wide receiver all season and now Ty Montgomery could miss time with an injury. According to Pro Football Talk, Montgomery needed to be carted off the field with an ankle injury, but initial reports had tests come back negative. NFL.com reports that Montgomery is dealing with an ankle injury, but it's not a high-ankle issue, which would likely keep him out for a stretch. The Packers are without Jordy Nelson for the season and Davante Adams has not been able to stay healthy on a consistent basis.
