Former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid gestures during a news conference with Kansas City Chiefs."

Andy Reid has a big decision to make following the loss of star player Jamaal Charles.

Reid has 3 potential replacements on his roster already and those 3 are incredibly different players. Charles was the perfect combination of speed and power all wrapped up into one, he could running the ball directly down the middle or catch a screen pass for a healthy gain. Reid will likely not find another player like than in the 3 possible replacements however he could find some versatile players able to make plays.

First up is Charcandrick West. West is a talented runner who could easily find success in this Chiefs offense. He has had more snaps than Knile Davis and seemingly is better suited to have a lead backs workload.

Davis on the other hand is more of a Lance Dunbar style of running back, small yet fast and able to make cuts on a dime. Davis should find a spot as the change of pace back but might be to light to be a bruising every down back. Finally we get to De'Anthony Thomas the versatile running back/wide receiver who has been seen as a Tavon Austin like gadget player (just bigger and better at running the ball).

Thomas might be tried as the main back but without Charles this offense looks completely different. Alex Smith will be throwing a lot more short passes and quick screens to keep this defense from zeroing in on him. The most likely answer is that he will use them all in the situations they are best suited for. The Chiefs are headed for a running back by committee and that in itself spells trouble for the fantasy values of every running back on the team.
