The Dallas Cowboys will be on the cusp of some big personnel decisions at the end of this season. With Tyrone Crawford signed already they can fully focus their attention on Greg Hardy.

Hardy is a very controversial figure and for good reason however his troubles are behind him. Recently a hip hop video shot in 2014 during Hardy's suspension has been making rounds on media sites as Hardy makes his first start for the Dallas Cowboys. Hardy is an easy target and he makes himself out to be one every time he does something as bone headed as make a rap video while suspended. Hardy believes his play will speak louder than all of the other voices in the media and to an extent that is true.

Right now Hardy is a great commodity and a great target for a multi-year team friendly contract. Hardy is not the pro athlete on a cereal box and that scares plenty of teams but with already one game under his belt I am certain the league is beginning to pay attention. Hardy recorded two sacks on the best quarterback of this generation Tom Brady after returning from an extremely long absence from playing professional football, so naturally imagine what he can do as he gets used to being on that field. Hardy will play somewhere and since the Cowboys brought him on for this season it might as well be in Dallas. Hardy has stated his happiness with being a Cowboy, win or lose to him it is just about the star, and there are not a lot of defensive players out there like that.

Do we have a long way to go before the end of the season? Absolutely, but that does not change the fact that signing Hardy and then resigning him for pennies on the dollar just makes logical sense from a business perspective. The Cowboys would be wise to extend Hardy before his on the field success translates into off the field dollars.
