The Euro 2016 tournament group stage round has come through and heading into the main draw in France next summer, the Netherlands will not be one of the teams to make the trip after a tough loss to the Czech Republic. Robin Van Persie had an own goal for the Dutch and they are now out of the tournament draw, while England, Italy, Germany, Spain and Turkey all won their matches.

The Netherlands lost to the Czechs 3-2 in the match and the team basically sealed their own fate with the own goal from Van Persie. The team finished third in the 2014 World Cup and performed well in that tournament and now they will not even be participating in the Euro 2016 tourney. The team was down 2-0 before Van Persie put in the own goal and the Dutch could not make up those scores.

England is through and they did not lose a match during their run after the 3-0 win over Lithuania. The team previously won 2-0 over Estonia and according to the BBC, England is only the sixth team to go through the qualifying campaign without a loss. England finished Group E at the top and in the game against Lithuania the team got goals from Ross Barkley, Harry Kane and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. England advanced from the group on top of Switzerland, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania and San Marino one.

With the group stage over, Euro 2016 has the pool basically set for the tournament, as there are just four play-off ties for the final four spots along with the 20 teams that are already in. France is in as the host and the group stage has the first and second place teams advancing in. France, Iceland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Belgium, Wales, Spain and Slovakia are all in the tournament. Germany, England, Romania, Northern Ireland, Austria, Russia, Italy, Croatia and Portugal are also in.
