The ALDS Playoffs will have Game 5 in both series, as the Kansas City Royals rallied to win against the Houston Astros, while the Toronto Blue Jays won against the Texas Rangers to even things up at 2-2. The Royals were losing heading into the eighth inning and took the lead to avoid elimination, while the Jays powered past the Rangers to try and get back from a 2-0 deficit with three straight wins.

UPDATE: The Blue Jays won game five over the Rangers, advance to ALCS.

The Royals won the game 9-6 and now the series will shift back to Kansas City for Game 5 and gives the AL-best Royals a chance to get to the ALCS for a second straight season. It looked as if the Astros were going to shock the Royals and Texas governor Greg Abbott got a little ahead of himself on Twitter, congratulating the Astros on advancing. Instead, the Royals made a comeback similar to the one against the Oakland Athletics last season in the wild card game and now it will be winner takes all in Game 5 for the ALDS series.

Carlos Correa had a big game for the Astros with four hits and two home runs, while Eric Hosmer had a home run and three RBI for the Royals. Correa was great at the plate, but he couldn't make a play late in the game in the field and that helped open things up for the Royals. The team rallied and now they have the chance to win the series at home.

The Blue Jays were one loss from elimination and they won 8-4 to tie the ALDS series at 2-2 heading into Game 5. The team had 12 hits and Kevin Pillar led the way with three hits, a homerun and three RBI. Chris Colabello had two hits and a home run along with a double and now the Blue Jays will try and get their first playoff win at home since winning the World Series two decades ago.

David Price came into the game in relief and got the win, while Derek Holland took the loss. RA Dickey started the game for the Blue Jays and now the team head back to Toronto for Game 5 and Marcus Stroman will be the starter for the team in that game. Cole Hamels will be the opposing pitcher and this is a rematch from Game 2, which went into extra innings.
