The Washington Redskins are coming into Week 4 with the hope that DeSean Jackson can return, while Matt Jones, Jordan Reed and Pierre Garcon are the best fantasy football starter picks for Kirk Cousins. Colt McCoy has been dealing with an injury and that put Robert Griffin III as the backup for Cousins this week and it comes as the Redskins reportedly are not considering a trade with RG3 at the deadline.

The Redskins are coming into Week 4 after a loss on Thursday night football to the Giants and they will try and rebound against another divisional foe in the Eagles. According to the Washington Post, Mike Jones reports that Colt McCoy did not practice early in the week and that left RG3 to stand in as the main backup for Cousins. The Redskins have opted to go with Cousins as the starter and if McCoy can't go on Sunday, the team will likely have to use Griffin as the second QB.

The quarterback issues and saga regarding Griffin has taken many twists and turns over the last calendar year and heading into the trade deadline RG3 is sure to get mentioned in rumors. But the Redskins have reportedly not been looking to trade Griffin, as Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com reports that the team has "no intention" of making a deal. Canfora writes that is "not giving up hope on" Griffin and that the team has not "made a single call" to try and trade Griffin.

Matt Jones comes into this week as a fantasy option and while he did not play well against the Giants, the Redskins still plan on using him in the offensive game plan. According to ESPN.com, Gruden said to the media that the fumbling issues with Jones will not make the team "shy away" from giving him carries behind Alfred Morris. Jones has been solid to start the season with 189 rushing yards in three games and he also has two rushing touchdowns. Reed has been one of the most consistent targets for Cousins this season and he has 19 catches for 241 yards and one TD and is a solid fantasy start pick at TE.

La Canfora also reported that Griffin has been handling himself like a professional through this situation, as there has been "no palpable tension" between RG3 and Cousins this season. The Redskins are being careful with Griffin, as they picked up his option and he has a $16 million guarantee for injury next year. According to the Washington Post, McCoy missed practice due to a cut on his foot and if the injury is serious, it could keep McCoy out.

As of Wednesday there has not been an official update on McCoy and whether he can be the backup for Week 4. The Redskins are also dealing with DeAngelo Hall being out for a few weeks, while DeSean Jackson could be close to returning. Jackson doesn't have a catch yet this season and he has missed the last two games for Washington.
