The Green Bay Packers had Eddie Lacy healthy for Week 3 and heading into Week 4 they could be down Davante Adams after he was injured on Monday night. James Jones has been a fantasy football sleeper for the Packers and along with Ty Montgomery he could be a great waiver free agent option to start for Aaron Rodgers if Adams is out or limited next weekend.

The Packers had Lacy uncertain for the game on Monday night against the Chiefs, but he was able to play and moving forward it looks like his ankle injury is not an issue. According to Pro Football Talk, Adams had to leave the game on Sunday with an ankle injury and that is the second time in as many weeks that Adams has had to exit a game early. Adams was not able to come back into the game and that left Ty Montgomery as a number three wideout option for the Packers.

Adams has been banged up this season so far and that has kept him from getting things going on offense. The Packers already lost Jordy Nelson to an injury in the preseason and that opened things up for Adams to step into a bigger role. The Packers have high hopes for Adams and so do fantasy owners and the Packers likely will update his status in practice this week. Fantasy owners should be cautious with Adams, as he has had multiple injury issues this season. Update: Andrew Quarless is also expected to miss time for the Packers.

Heading into Week 4, Jones and Montgomery are strong options for the Packers, as Jeff Janis has not shown enough and is not worth anything in fantasy yet. Jones has turned out to be a great signing for the Packers, as he has continued to have great chemistry with Rodgers and he also continues to find the endzone. Jones is a pickup across all leagues and he comes in after putting up his best stats of the season with seven catches for 139 yards and one touchdown. Jones now has 12 catches and four of those have gone for touchdowns. Rodgers seems to always find Jones in the redzone.

As for the running backs, Lacy was able to play after his status was in question all week and he ended up with over 80 total yards in the game. Lacy had 10 rushes for 46 yards and he also added three catches for 41 yards. Lacy was dealing with an ankle injury and James Starks got some work alongside him and ended up with 17 carries in the game. Starks and Lacy could continue to split time until Lacy is back to 100 percent for the Packers.

The Packers have been dealing with injuries, but it has not hurt them much on the field, as the team is undefeated at 3-0 and looking like one of the best teams in the NFC again. Aaron Rodgers continues to just be historic, as he has not thrown an interception at home in over a year and he had 333 yards passing with five touchdowns against the Chiefs on Monday night. Rodgers and the Packers play against the 49ers next on the schedule.
