Detroit Lions

Matthew Stafford (Quarterback): Stafford had a rough day getting knocked around by the Minnesota defensive line. He ended up needing to get X rays on his chest and ribs thanks to a couple of hard hits. This also effected Stafford's accuracy so he often over or underthrew his wide receivers. Stafford ended his day completing 32 out of 53 passes, gained 286 yards through the air, and 2 touchdowns. Stafford is better when playing at home but also is a very matchup dependent quarterback.

Ameer Abdullah (Running Back): Abdullah could not get anything going on the ground and put up a dud this week.  Abdullah finished week 2 with 6 carries and a catch for 9 yards. Abdullah was reacting to the Lion's offensive struggles against a sticky Vikings defense.

Calvin Johnson (Wide Receiver): Johnson finally had a good fantasy performance. He finished the day with 10 receptions on 17 targets and gained 83 yards and a touchdown. This is the performance Johnson owners have been waiting for so hopefully he can keep it up.

Golden Tate (Wide Receiver): Tate finished week 2 with a solid fantasy performance. He was targeted 10 times and hauled in 6 of them for 80 yards. With Ebron gaining more targets and Calvin Johnson dominating, Tate could be in for a rough couple of weeks.

Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson (Running Back): Fantasy owners finally saw the production they have been craving from Peterson for so long, 29 carries on 134 yards along with 2 receptions that gained 58 yards. Add a touchdown to that mix and it is a perfect day for Peterson. Owners can feel a bit relieved now that they know he will not put up a slightly above average point total every week.

Teddy Bridgewater (Quarterback): Bridgewater had a tough time battling this Lions defensive line however still put up a statistically solid fantasy day. Bridgewater went 14 for 18 from the field; he also rushed 6 times for 21 yards. Bridgewater had a touchdown both in the air and on the ground. His versatility as a quarterback is a great asset however that offense will need some polishing before it reaches its full potential.

Kyle Rudolph (Tight End): Rudolph has been Bridgewater's go to target so far this season. Rudolph has put up solid numbers for the second week in a row and could be considered as one of the most productive tight ends in football right now. His proclivity to get into the end zone is what makes him so productive however with Peterson back and Bridgewater's mobility he is bound to lose some targets in the end zone. On Sunday Rudolph had 30 yards on 5 receptions, and a touchdown.

Waiver Wire Targets:

Eric Ebron (DET)(Tight End): Ebron had a great day from the field finishing with a touchdown along with gaining 43 yards on 5 receptions. Ebron was targeted 10 times so he may actually have a bigger role in the offense this year.
