Indianapolis Colts

Andre Johnson (Wide Receiver): Johnson will look to be the primary red zone threat. In his advanced age Johnson may have given up some speed but he has only gotten stronger as the years go by, this will make him an excellent target for red zone opportunities. Johnson is a solid flex play in week 1.

Frank Gore (Running Back): Gore should get some extra time on the field if the Colts run away with this game however the Bills are great and stopping the run. The Bills defensive line should hammer Gore all day long and at his age that will make fantasy owners shutter. Gore is a low end RB2 going against the Bills.

TY Hilton (Wide Receiver): Hilton will look to be the deep threat for Andrew Luck and the Colts offense. Hilton should be able to get open against this average pass defense and put up some solid points as a low end WR1.

Phillip Dorsett/Donte Moncrief (Wide Receiver): The battle of the third receiver is upon us, and Dorsett has the narrowest of leads. Dorsett will need to have a big game to put some distance between himself and Moncrief.

Coby Fleener/Dwayne Allen (Tight End): These guys will be battling for targets all year and it will not breed any type of consistency. Until a leader emerges stay away from both TEs as they are already in a crowded offense.

Indianapolis Defense: This defense is pretty bad however they should have an easy time stopping an anemic Bills offense. If Tyrod Taylor ends up going off he could do against this defense so start Indy with caution.

Buffalo Bills

LeSean McCoy (Running Back): McCoy will have an easy time rushing against this porous Colts defense if he is healthy, if he is not than this can become one gigantic headache. The Bills are going to run the ball a ton and if there is any inkling that McCoy is still injured he will be put on a snap count or replaced for the first game all together. Owners must monitor his status frequently.

Tyrod Taylor (Quarterback): Taylor could actually put up some decent fantasy points if he could stay upright. The Bills need to protect their quarterback against this aggressive defense and one of the few ways to do that will be to include some trickery in the playbook. Taylor will put up some numbers but I would hate to rely on him as a week 1 starter.

Sammy Watkins (Wide Receiver): Watkins will have to rely on Taylor which is an interesting problem. Taylor is great at play action which should set Watkins up with some down the field looks however this is the Bills offense we are talking about here ideally they would want to run the ball to the 1 yard line and either run it again or lob it to Watkins. Watkins is a boom or bust WR2.

Buffalo Defense: Buffalo has one of the best defenses in the NFL however this is no guarantee that they can stop a team with the offensive potency that the Colts possess. The Bills should be benched for a more favorable matchup. If you are unable to do so rest easy on the fact that the mediocre Indianapolis offensive line will be hard pressed to stop the Bills defensive line from getting to the quarterback.
