Adrian Peterson (Running Back): Peterson is the clear lead back in this unit and was presumably the best back in the NFL that is until you factor in his 15 suspension during the 2014 season. That makes fantasy owners question not only Peterson's durability because he has not been in action for so long and at his age this could be a bad thing. But also because of his age will he be as explosive as he once was or is he in decline and we just cannot see it yet because we don't have enough film on him in 2014, we just cannot know. Because of that Peterson is not necessarily the number 1 back to take in fantasy drafts but that is all. This Vikings offense will rely heavily on his skills running the ball that could potentially open up passing lanes for Teddy Bridgewater.
Charles Johnson (Wide Receiver): Johnson has been a favorite to be the biggest wide receiver on the Vikings for the entire offseason. His footwork and catch radius make him a desirable target and Teddy Bridgewater has his trust as the teams number 1 receiver. Johnson will not have a lot of competition but expect Mike Wallace to try to steal some of his targets.
Mike Wallace (Wide Receiver): Wallace was a speedy, deep target in Pittsburgh however now he has been relegated to WR2 duties by a run first offense. Wallace has deemed a resurgence this year but this may be the confidence of a former WR1 getting the best of him. Wallace has had trouble creating space which makes it hard for Bridgewater to target him with a ton of faith. Wallace should be a low end WR2 this season.
Teddy Bridgewater (Quarterback): Bridgewater could have a 2014 Russell Wilson type of fantasy year. Bridgewater has his biggest weapon back in Adrian Peterson so the passing game will be wide open. He has a full cast of receivers to get deep and open with frequency. This could be a big year for one of fantasy football's biggest quarterback bargains.
Kyle Rudolph (Tight End): Rudolph has been listed as injury prone but he could have one of his biggest seasons now that he will not be one of the main targets a defense should key into. Rudolph causes mismatches across the field and this should earn him a WR1 level of fantasy points in the coming season.
