The Green Bay Packers are expected to have Randall Cobb ready for Week 1 after the wideout suffered a shoulder injury and this comes as Davante Adams and Ty Montgomery could get the chance to break out for fantasy owners following the injury to Jordy Nelson. Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy are primed for big seasons for the Packers and could be two of the best fantasy players in the NFL this season.

The injury to Nelson was a major blow for the Packers, but the team was optimistic since they still had Cobb ready to go. But soon after Nelson was injured, Cobb suffered a shoulder sprain in the next preseason game and that gave the team a scare. Luckily, NFL.com reports that the sprain was "minor" and Cobb reportedly told the Green Bay Press-Gazette that he doesn't "plan on missing a game."

Cobb is a dynamic playmaker and with Nelson out of the mix, he will take over as the number one receiver. The Packers have Davante Adams, Ty Montgomery, Jeff Janis and Myles White on the roster and while the team could add a free agent, right now that isn't looking likely. Some teams may wait until after Week 1 to sign veteran players like Wes Welker (or James Jones if he is cut), as that would allow the team to have them on non-guaranteed deals.

Either way, the Packers are happy that Cobb is healthy and with Nelson out, Adams is going to get a chance to step up. Adams had a very solid season in 2014 and he is a breakout candidate now that Nelson is out for the year. Adams played in all 16 games last season and had 38 catches for 446 yards and even before Nelson was injured Adams was expected to get a lot more work this season for the Packers. Adams had over 20 touchdowns in his final year in college and he could be a great deep threat alongside Cobb.

The Packers looked at Montgomery and Janis as solid depth options as fourth and fifth receivers coming into camp and now those players could have bigger roles. Janis had an up and down camp, while Montgomery now has the chance to be the third main wideout. According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Montgomery has impressed coaches with his football knowledge and he has the "upper hand" to slot in behind Cobb and Adams on the depth chart.

Rodgers and Lacy are considered to be two of the best fantasy options out there this season, even with Nelson down. Rodgers is arguably the best quarterback in the league, while Lacy has been remarkably consistent over his first two seasons. Lacy put up 1139 yards last season and nine touchdowns on the ground and while he did not rush for more yards than he did as a rookie, he finished 40 yards shy of that number on nearly 40 fewer carries. Lacy should only get better and he comes in after setting a career high with 42 catches for 427 yards last season out of the backfield.
