The Minnesota Twins have called up Byron Buxton to take over for Aaron Hicks after the outfielder suffered a hamstring injury and now the young prospect will get another chance to stick around after previously coming up and getting injured earlier in the summer.

According to Hardball Talk, Buxton is getting called up and it comes as Hicks will be placed on the disabled list with a hamstring issue. Hicks had been playing well for the Twins, but now he will be down and it's time for Buxton to get another shot. Buxton was playing well at Triple-A after his stint with the Twins ended after suffering a thumb injury after playing 11 games.

Buxton has been hitting well over his last stretch, putting up a .400-plus average for Rochester. Hicks will be out for a stretch and now Buxton gets another chance. Buxton hit .189 in 11 games for the Twins earlier in the season.
