The NY Knicks are reportedly interested in a Ricky Rubio trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves and if a deal happens, Jose Calderon likely would be traded and this comes as the Wolves have signed Andre Miller and Tayshaun Prince this offseason, while New York is also interested in Jamal Crawford with the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Timberwolves have signed Andre Miller and Tayshaun Prince this offseason and moving forward the team could consider trading Ricky Rubio. The team added Miller and drafted Tyus Jones to join Zach LaVine on the roster and that could make Rubio a bit more expendable than in the past. Rubio has a ton of talent, but he has not quite reached his potential in Minnesota yet and he has had issues staying healthy with injuries.

The Knicks could be a landing spot for Rubio, as reports have the team interested in upgrading at the point guard position. The team has Langston Galloway and Jerian Grant as options with Jose Calderon and with Calderon dealing with injuries last year, the Knicks may want to move him now with a year left on his deal. While Rubio has had issues with injuries, he has more team control and the Knicks could see him as a point guard for the future, whereas the Wolves have some other options that can take that mantle if they make a deal.

The Knicks have been linked to Rubio in the past and according to Fox Sports, as report in Gigantes has Rubio a target once again for New York. The Knicks are reportedly willing to trade Jose Calderon and Pro basketball Talk writes that the Clippers and Timberwolves could be interested in a deal. Rubio has a deal through the 2019 and the report says that if he "continues to struggle" he could be traded at some point. The report says that Phil Jackson is "not satisfied" with his current roster of point guards and could make a move.

The Knicks reportedly are willing to trade Calderon and this comes as Frank Isola reports that the Knicks are interested in trading for Jamal Crawford. Calderon would likely move in that deal, so the Knicks obviously have to decide which one they want to pursue more. Ian Begley at ESPN New York writes that a Jose Calderon deal is "not imminent" at this point and that could give the team more time to decide how they want to proceed into next season. If nothing happens, Rubio and Crawford will remain trade targets for the Knicks.

Rubio was limited last season, but he was productive while averaging 10.3 points and 8.8 assists per game for the Wolves. Calderon has another year on his deal and while he is a bit pricey, it could be a good move for teams looking to clear cap space after next season. The Clippers could use some veteran depth with Calderon even after all the moves they made this season. The Wolves have Andre miller and they signed Tayshaun Prince to a one year deal at the minimum, according to SI.com.
